How To Convert Financial Statements to XBRL

A simple and secure online process to convert your annual financial statements to XBRL format complying with annual returns filing requirements for ACRA.

Step 1 : Set-up your online account


Let us get started.To register your online account

  • Click "Start Now" button at the top right hand side of the webpage.
  • Fill up the short form, read and accept the terms of use.Submit form .

For online security purpose you will receive an account activation link by email.Click on the link to activate and access your account securely.

Step 2 : Create an order


Login to your account. Start creating an order by

  • entering the name of the the company for which you need XBRL tagging
  • corresponding UTR number.



Step 3 : Choose options. Pay online.


Customize your order based on,

  • Type of XBRL required such as FSH only or full XBRL
  • number of pages uploaded
  • turnaround time by when you will need the files

Based on the options chosen you will be presented with the total fees for the services. You can make an online payment through payment gateway.

For customers such as accounting firms and group companies who require our XBRL services multiple times a year, we have the option of payment on invoice after delivery.




Step 4 : Upload financial statements


Please upload the necessary financial statements.

You can choose to upload in formats such as

  • Word,
  • Excel or
  • PDF (including scanned).

In case we have not received all the information we require for creating the XBRL accounts, we will email you an Excel template requesting the short information.




Step 5 : Download XBRL, review and approve


Our XBRL experts will now convert your financial statements to XBRL format, run a quality check and verify that the XBRL file is accepted by ACRA.

You will receive an email alert from us that the XBRL file is ready for your review. Please login to your account, download the files, review and approve.

If you require any amendments, we will do it at no additional cost. Any number of amendments is allowed till successful filing with ACRA.






Step 6: File annual returns with ACRA


Once you approve and finalize the XBRL file, we will submit the annual returns on your behalf with ACRA. Please note this is an optional service.


We will email you the acknowledgement information as soon as the file has been submitted successfully with ACRA.

You can send us your financial documents in MS Word, MS Excel and PDF formats. In case we have problem processing the received format (especially scanned pdfs) we may request you for an alternative format.

If the document is in a different format, please contact us to check if we can accommodate. We have instances of successfully converting non-standard formats generated from third party accounting software packages.

We expect the files have no embedded files, macros, or active-X controls. Content in non-text structures such as pictures or graphical shapes will not be tagged. It is recommended that the font size is 12pt.

We normally turnaround your XBRL reports within 3 business days. We understand sometimes you will require the turnaround time to be much faster due to exigencies. We can prioritize our delivery time accordingly but additional charges may apply. Please refer to our pricing section for details

In the countries where we operate, we work closely with the regulators to keep ourselves updated with the latest standards and any special requirements. Our inhouse developed tagging software is also updated frequently. Before delivering the XBRL reports to you, we do a test filing with the regulators to validate the XBRL report.

All client data will be held in secure cloud-based servers. All information will be exchanged using secure file transfer protocols through our secure portal and our process are audited and ISO certified for security. Our XBRL experts who will be involved in the handling and tagging of your statutory accounts are bound by agreement of confidentiality. We are legally required to charge VAT for customers from the European Union and several other countries including South Africa, Singapore and India. If you have a VAT ID, please be sure to enter it via the “Add VAT Number” link on the checkout page. This will avoid unnecessary VAT charges.
